We are seeking a Heel Finisher to support our Finishing Department by executing the final preparation of boot heels and soles with precision and care. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate rotary and manual sanders to smooth the sole and heel areas of boots while ensuring no damage to leather or boot tops.
• Inspect boot soles for exposed nails and tacks, using mallets and tools to flatten them for a smooth finish.
• Perform quality checks to ensure soles are smooth, nails are barely visible, and meet comfort and safety standards.
• Follow safety protocols, avoiding direct contact with sanding surfaces and handling tools carefully to prevent injury.

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Driver’s License
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required
