ACTIVE MEDITATION CLASSES have been scientifically designed for many over a long period of experimentation. They enable us to consciously express, experience, and release repressed feelings and emotions and to bring the body back to a relaxed harmony – and then the journey inwards can begin.
Many of the traditional meditative techniques require one to sit still in order to be silent. Firstly, it is an inner stillness that is valuable, and the outer stillness is only in support of that inner stillness. And secondly, for most of us, the accumulated stress in our body mind makes inner or outer stillness very difficult.
So first chaotic methods are used to push the center – the center of consciousness – from the brain toward the heart. Then catharsis is needed to unburden the heart, to throw off the suppressions, to make it light. If the heart becomes light and unburdened, then the center of consciousness is pushed still lower. It comes to the navel, and the navel is the source of vitality. It is the source, it is the seed source from which everything comes: the body, the mind, all else.
