Since 1976, our shop has served as a cornerstone of the industry, recognized as a leading producer of custom saddle trees for quality makers and superior craftsmen from coast to coast and abroad. While our builders are in the back shaping wood and leather, we need a sharp, organized, and welcoming individual to manage the flow of our business at the front desk. As our Shipping & Receiving Associate, you are the bridge between our workshop and the craftsman who rely on our final product.
This isn’t just a warehouse job—it’s a multifaceted role that requires a "can-do" attitude. You’ll be the first voice our customers hear on the phone and the last hands that touch the product before it’s boxed and shipped across the country. We’re looking for someone who treats every order with the same attention to detail & respect our tree builders give their final build.
We are looking for a professional who understands that in a small shop, no task is too small. Whether you’re navigating a complex international shipping task or helping a coworker move our product to the back, you do it with a smile and a steady hand. In this position, you’ll wear several hats to keep our operations running as smooth as a well-oiled machine:
1) CUSTOMER SERVICE: You’ll be the "face" of the brand, answering phones, welcoming walk-in travelers, and helping folks find exactly what they need in our tack shop.
2) OFFICE SUPPORT: General secretarial duties such as filing, managing correspondence, and keeping the front-of-house as tidy and professional as our workshop.
3) SHIPPING & RECEIVING: You’ll handle the heavy lifting—literally and figuratively. This includes packing custom saddles with care, processing freight, receiving raw materials (wood and leather), and managing inventory.
4) ORDER MANAGEMENT: You’ll be responsible for submitting new orders, checking on the status of builds in the shop, and providing clear, honest updates to our customers.
We are looking to hire a Full-Time Position that will be working from 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday-Friday. A background in horse riding and saddlery is a major plus, as you’ll be talking "tack" with customers all day long, but it isn’t a dealbreaker if you're a quick learner. Compensation is based on experience.
You can send your CV and Resume to info@saddletree.com or hand it to us between the hours of 9AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday at our shop located at:
